Weekend Links

Happy September! I’m out of town but thought I’d leave you with some links to other interesting places on the web to explore over the weekend. If you live in the Cleveland area, don’t forget about the “Not Going Back to School” beach party on Tuesday. Check out the calendar on the Out and About page for more details. It’s a great way to kick off your school year and meet other homeschooling families.  And if you don’t live in the Cleveland area, then I’m curious to know if you have an annual party to celebrate a new homeschooling year where you live – please share in the comments.

An interesting article in the New York Times about over scheduling our kids: Family Happiness and the Overbooked Child

Lately this blog has been making me laugh – I’m sure most of you moms out there can relate: Parenting. Illustrated with Crappy Pictures.

Does anyone have this game? It looks like a fun addition to any homeschooling family’s game collection. I don’t know about you, but I like to sneak in learning with games anytime I can.

These books featured on a craft blog I follow also look really cute.

I’ll be adding new information to the site soon, so be sure to check back! And thanks to everyone who’s contacted me about things they’d like added.

Have a great weekend!

~ Dori
